Senior Tax Manager St Ives Hybrid Salary £50,000 - £65,000
Butler Rose are pleased to be representing our client, consistently reliable a firm of accountants that is seeking someone with a strong knowledge and focus in tax with technical tax experience who can oversee the tax team at it's St Ives office in Cambridgeshire.
Role Responsibilities
- Review corporate tax computations
- Preparing partnership, trust, and personal tax returns
- R&D tax claims
- Assisting with tax planning strategies
- Working closely with managers and other members of the team to ensure successful completion of jobs.
- Oversee junior members of the tax team including assisting with development, reviewing work and providing feedback
- Liaising with your portfolio of clients directly to resolve queries.
- Work alongside Partners and senior management on matters including inheritance tax, trusts, Capital Gains Tax advice and CGT on UK property returns
- Lead compliance and financial planning processes and liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients
Personal Requirements
- CTA or ACA qualified, part qualified or equivalent, with at least 3 years' experience of corporate tax
- Excellent communication skills and sound attention to detail
- Strong leadership skills
- A proactive approach to problem-solving
- Good time management skills in order to ensure budgets and deadlines are met
