Teaching Assistant
Tempest Education are working in partnership with a primary school in Bexley that are recruiting two teaching assistants to join them from September 2024.
This school are seeking to appoint teaching assistants that have a passion for education and want to make a real difference in young childrens lives. This is a permanent position which will commence in the new academic year.
In this role, your main responsibility will be working alongside the class teacher and supporting children with special educational needs (SEN). You're highly encouraged to apply for this role if you have worked with children/young adults with special needs, within and outside of education settings.
Main Responsibilities:
- Working alongside the class teacher and supporting the teacher in the delivery of the curriculum and the management of the classroom
- Supporting children with special needs - i.e autism, ADHD and SEMH
- Working 1:1 and within small groups of children
- Progressing childrens learning
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working with young children
- Experience with working within a primary school
- Experience supporting children with learning difficulties or disabilities
- Can do attitude
- DBS on the update service
