SANZA Teaching is delighted to be supporting a very large and successful school in North West London in their search for a Senior SENCO. This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving educational community on a temporary-to-permanent basis starting in September. The role offers a competitive salary up to USP with TLR.
About the Role
As the Senior SENCO, you will:
- Lead and manage the SEND provision across the school
- Oversee the coordination of SEND support, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practices
- Manage two Additionally Resourced Provisions (ARPs) within the school
- Coordinate and monitor over 50 Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Develop and implement the school's SEND policy and strategic direction
- Support and train staff on SEND practices and interventions
- Liaise with external agencies, parents, and carers to ensure effective support for students with SEND
- Conduct regular assessments and reviews of student progress and provision effectiveness
- Ensure that all SEND students receive high-quality teaching and support tailored to their individual needs

Qualifications and Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with significant experience in a SENCO role
- National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or willingness to complete it
- Proven track record of managing and improving SEND provision in a school setting
- Experience in managing ARPs and coordinating EHCPs
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
