Job Title: Credit Controller
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Yeovil, Somerset
Salary Range: Up to £28,000 PA DOE
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (one hour lunch break)
Responsibilities:
- Lead regular debtor review meetings with key internal stakeholders.
- Monitor and manage the accounts receivable ledger, ensuring master data accuracy.
- Resolve customer queries promptly and proactively manage payments.
- Manage relationships with debt collection agencies.
- Drive internal process adherence to ensure invoicing accuracy.
- Conduct credit checks and set up new accounts.
- Post daily banking transactions and allocate cash to debtor accounts.
- Monitor outstanding debt and collection efforts.
- Provide support to the finance department with ad-hoc queries.
Skills:
- Proven strong credit control experience.
- Good knowledge of Sage.
- Excellent spreadsheet skills.
- Experience with Construction Industry Scheme.
- Highly organised with the ability to problem solve.
- Attentive to detail, logical, and able to prioritise workloads.
