specialist looking for an exciting new role? As the

EHS Coordinator

, you will be responsible for the for the development of

EHS

policies and programs, advising and instructing on various safety-related topics, conducting risk assessments, and enforcing preventative measures across a large engineering site in Somerset.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full compliance with UK legislation and company standards for environment, health, and safety.
  • Provide technical advice and support for a complex manufacturing site.
  • Design and deliver training programs, including toolbox talks, permit writing, risk assessment, and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain training databases, matrices, and annual schedules.
  • Assist with internal and external auditing processes and maintain COSHH systems and provide guidance to site team members.
  • Support and develop a team of local shop floor EHS Coordinators.
  • Accurately report and investigate incidents and near misses.
  • Complete and review risk assessments and safe systems of work in accordance with current legislation and company standards.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a EHS role is essential, ideally within a manufacturing and/or engineering environment, from which you will be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of EHS systems
  • Strong working knowledge of UK and European health and safety legislation.
  • NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum or a relevent degree.
  • Proven EHS professional with excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
