Site Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day engineering operations on site, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, HS2 standards, and contractual requirements.
  • Provide accurate setting out and surveying using the latest technology.
  • Manage and monitor the quality of work on site to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with construction managers, project engineers, and subcontractors to coordinate work and resolve technical challenges.
  • Maintain detailed site records, including daily diaries, method statements, and risk assessments.
  • Liaise with the design and planning teams to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of drawings and specifications.
  • Support in the implementation of value engineering and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Relevant experience working as a Site Engineer on large-scale infrastructure or rail projects.
  • Strong knowledge of setting out, surveying, and construction methodologies.
  • Familiarity with modern construction technology and equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficient in CAD software, GPS, and other engineering tools.
  • Valid CSCS card (essential).
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations, with a commitment to safe working practices.
