Field Service Engineer- Unscheduled - 5Week Rotating Shift Pattern (Off work every 5th week) - Gas Powered Engines / CHP - South East England - £39-41k starting salary DoE + 15% Bonus + Van (Personal miles included) + Healthcare + Other excellent benefits

Do you have experience of working on 4 stroke internal combustion engines with the ability to fully strip, repair, overhaul and rebuild said engines?

Do you hold a full UK driving licence and are happy to travel across the South East of England (excluding Central London)

Are you happy to work on a weekly rotating shift basis over a 5 week recurring cycle where you'll be off work every 5th week?

What you need..

  • Experience working on 4 stroke internal combustion engines or are competent at fault finding, stripping, repairing, and rebuilding engines
  • You have a full UK driving license**,** preferably with field based work experience
  • To be health and safety focussed above all else.
  • To be willing to work fully on shift - start times are 5am, 8am, 11am and 3pm with every 5th week as a rest week including 2 weekends - a full shift rotation can be provided by DCS following an initial consultation.

About the role

You will be an expert at tackling engine breakdowns, rising to the challenge of fault finding, getting to the root cause of problems on our client's fleet of four stroke gas combustion engines. You will be confident in stripping and rebuilding engines to ensure maximum availability of gas and related plant through trouble shooting and fault rectification.

If you have experience repairing and rebuilding petrol or diesel engines, generators, or mechanical plant equipment, this is an ideal opportunity for you to join our client's service team and build your career with a successful and growing company. This role would suit you if you are ex forces and have a REME background, already work as a CHP engineer, work as a HGV Mechanic and want to be out on the field or work on any other type of four stroke engines and have the ability to strip and rebuild said engine.

This is a field-based role attending breakdowns, your work will be allocated daily covering sites based in the Warwickshire, Bedfordshire, Norfolk, Essex, and Kent area.
