Are you an IT Support professional with experience in troubleshooting? Are you looking for a contract role that involves travelling abroad? If yes, then we have the perfect role for you!

Niche Recruitment is working with a global organisation looking for a contractor to join them for 3 months, offering a day rate of £250, with the possibility of the role becoming permanent. You'll be predominantly based onsite in Canary Wharf and will travel to two other European offices over the contract period, where you will assist in the maintenance and testing of network systems and equipment, working with minimal supervision and good communication.

In the role of IT Systems Support, you'll be responsible for:

  • Installing, configuring, and ensuring the ongoing usability of desktops, laptops, equipment, and software.
  • Monitoring system performance, hardware, software, and application health across all IT systems.
  • Communicating with stakeholders vertically and physically.
  • Travelling to the London, Belgium, and Netherlands offices to implement server swapping.

Requirements and skills for the role of IT Systems Support are as follows:

  • CompTIA A+ certification or two years of help desk experience.
  • At least one year of Microsoft systems support experience, with working knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow through on projects independently and effectively manage time.

The Role:

This is a 90-day contract position assisting staff with technical support of desktop computers, applications, and related technology. The role includes specifying, installing, and testing computer systems and peripherals within established standards and guidelines. Interaction with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve problems is a key part of this role, requiring independent analysis, communication, and problem-solving skills.
