Why You'll Love This Role:
As Technical Manager, you'll be the cornerstone of ensuring our clients tasty products meet the highest standards of food safety and quality. You'll lead our dedicated team and work closely with various departments to maintain excellence in every bite.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Safety & Legality: Be the go-to expert on food safety matters, advising on best practices and compliance.
Quality Management: Develop and refine our Food Safety and Quality Management Systems, ensuring alignment with HACCP principles.
Audits & Inspections: Oversee customer, third-party, and certification audits, engaging with local authorities to ensure top-tier standards.
Non-Conformance: Investigate and resolve any issues, ensuring continuous improvement.
Leadership: Lead HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP initiatives.
Product Specifications: Create and maintain detailed product specs and labels, including barcodes.
Testing: Ensure rigorous product testing for microbiological results.
Collaboration: Work closely with our New Product Development (NPD) team.
What We're Looking For:
Experience: Proven experience in a food business, specifically in a quality or technical role.
Audit Skills: Hands-on experience with BRCGS and customer audits.
Certification: HAACP level 3 certification.
Knowledge: Familiarity with own label products, retailer specification systems, and current legislation relevant to food manufacturing and labelling.
Systems Management: Strong background in managing food safety and quality systems within a food manufacturing environment.
