Key responsibilities:
- Develop and execute global category strategies for indirect spend categories.
- Lead negotiations and contract management with key suppliers.
- Drive cost saving initiatives and improve supplier performance.
- Monitor market trends and identify new sourcing opportunities.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with the wider business objectives.
- Managing and coaching your procurement team.
- Assisting in the recruitment of new personnel.
Essential experience:
- Proven experience in category management, preferably within a global manufacturing environment
- Indirect spend management, although direct procurement would also be considered
- Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Background of coaching/mentoring procurement teams
