Business Development Co-ordinator

We need an enthusiastic, outgoing and highly motivated individual to help spread the word about what we do. ProSpare is a well-established, family-owned company specialising in powder processing. We partner with many blue chip organisations across a wide variety of industries, applying our Make it better approach to help them achieve improved productivity, safety and product quality. We are also the UK distributor for the BFM® fitting, the world's first snap-in flexible connector.

Operating from new, state-of-the-art facilities, we are primed and ready for growth. Your role will involve working closely with the team's General Manager and our fantastic in-house Marketing team to identify key markets and target these, establishing a strong product proposal and ensuring efficient follow up of marketing activity to convert leads into happy, satisfied customers.

Main responsibilities

  • Carry out research to identify prospects and targets. Cleanse system data as required.
  • Engage with prospects/targets as directed by the GM, including via social media platforms, to expand the existing customer base and service key accounts. Generate weekly activity reports.
  • Contact prospects and customers by phone and email to learn more about their processes, confirm key contact information, follow up equipment installations, advise about new products and assess future potential. Build and maintain strong business relationships.
  • Monitor all interactions and ensure timely and appropriate response. Work with the GM and Process Improvement Engineer to make appointments.
  • Work closely with Marketing to analyse data, ensure sales tactics support marketing campaigns and follow up all leads generated. Obtain information from customers to create case studies.
  • Monitor LinkedIn accounts, post relevant content and grow networks.
  • Responsible, in conjunction with the Technical Sales Adviser, for departmental admin.
  • Assist in the planning and logistics of exhibitions and attend as required. Follow up leads, monitor sales and collate findings.

Key skills, experience and personal qualities

  • Likeable, enthusiastic, confident and tenacious.
  • Great verbal communicator with excellent writing skills.
  • Solid IT skills – particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Extremely customer-focused; able to quickly build rapport.
  • Confident and professional phone skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Enjoys a fast-paced and varied workload.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Great time management.
  • At least 2 years' experience in high pressure administration role/s - desirable
  • Experience of working in a busy Sales team - desirable

Hours are 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday.

24 days' holiday plus public holidays.
