GSL Education are actively seeking a qualified Humanities Teacher for immediate placement at Client Secondary Schools in Sheffield. As a qualified professional, you'll have the chance to impart knowledge and cultivate critical thinking skills in subjects such as h human culture, society history and geography. Humanities Teacher Role:

  • Within the context of the school's curriculum and schemes of work, plan and teach lessons to the classes they are assigned to teach
  • To maintain a thorough and up-to-date knowledge of the teaching of mainly Humanities as a subject
  • Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned pupils
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of the school's policies, practices and procedures in such a way as to support the school's values, ethos and vision
  • Setting and marking of regular homework

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a qualified Humanities Teacher with UK Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Demonstrate that you are deeply invested in the advancement of pupils' learning and success.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development and use this information to adjust teaching strategies.
  • Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who leads by example.
  • Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A fully checkable work history.
