SALARY: £50,000 - 65,000 (dependent on skills/experience)

Company Background:

Our client is specialising in a new concept known as CPIM (Centralised Platform for Integration & Monitoring). This platform seamlessly integrates various hardware systems, including CCTV, access control, fire alarms, and intruder detection, both on-premises and across multiple sites through a cloud portal. The CPIM facilitates real-time monitoring, alarm management, and fault detection. Beyond security systems, the platform extends its integration capabilities to Building Management Systems (BMS), environmental controls, and IoT devices. The company's strategic goal is to secure additional capital investment to expand its operations globally over the next five years. The Role: The position is officially titled Tech Support Manager, but in the early stages of our company, you will wear many hats encompassing Tech Support, Pre-Sales, QA Testing, and Integration Interpretation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work under the guidance of the CEO and CTO.
  • Deliver deployment support to early adopters and beta customers.
  • Manage and maintain office lab hardware (setup, configuration, maintenance).
  • Create and maintain support documentation, including PDFs, manuals, and how-to videos.
  • Gather and relay feedback from customers and end-users to inform the product roadmap.
  • Provide technical support to customers.
  • Conduct training sessions with customers
  • Support developers during integration testing and fault finding.
  • Self-manage and prioritise your time effectively. In addition to the above primary duties and responsibilities, there will be at times a requirement for the following as well:
  • Offer pre-sales support to customers and end-users.
  • Assist the QA department with product testing.
  • Interpret hardware API/SDK documentation to assist developers with integration work.
  • Plan and develop the technical support department of a growing software company. Skills & Traits required: To be considered for this position, you must have:

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of broad experience in the electronic security industry, including: o CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Detection o Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems (PIDS), Analytical Systems, Business-Level
  • Hands-on experience starting "on the tools"
  • Experience in commissioning a variety of systems.
  • Experience in office-based roles with self-management of time.
  • Customer-facing experience
  • Exceptional fault-finding skills
  • Residence within a 45-minute drive of our office
