Page Personnel is working with a highly reputable business based in Fareham, who is looking for a Payroll Officer to join their accountancy team on a 6-9 month contract to support with a project. The ideal candidate will have a strong end to end payroll background, be able to adapt and multi-task as well as having excellent communication skills. Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will play a pivotal part within the project.

Description
As the Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for:
- End to end payroll processing of c.1000 employees
- Calculating SSP, SMP, SPP etc.
- Making adjustments e.g. salary increases, changes in contract
- Payroll journals
- Reconciliation of payroll accounts - ensuring accurate reporting
- Liaise with HR regarding new starters and leavers
