Role - Website and Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) Lead

Salary - Up to £40k

Our client is one of the fastest-growing online retailers in the UK. Their main goal is to offer top-quality products at great prices, catering to all kinds of households. They have a wide selection of home essentials, making them the perfect go-to for affordable home goods.

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Website and Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) Lead to enhance their dynamic e-commerce team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong passion for optimising user experiences and improving conversion rates. Reporting directly to the E-commerce Manager, the selected individual will be tasked with devising and implementing strategies aimed at boosting website performance, increasing user engagement, and maximising conversion rates.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute detailed Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) strategies aimed at optimising website performance and enhancing the user experience.
  • Design, conduct, and analyze A/B and multivariate tests to improve critical website elements, including but not limited to landing pages, forms, calls to action (CTAs), and product pages.
  • Collaborate with development teams to craft user-centric designs and ensure seamless user experiences.
  • Manage the backlog effectively, coordinating with the off-site development team on the briefing, reviewing, testing, and implementation of new developments to meet organisational standards and expected outcomes.
  • Utilise analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Hotjar, and others to assess website and campaign performance, deriving actionable insights for continual improvement.
  • Engage closely with teams across marketing, e-commerce, design, product, merchandising, and development to ensure cohesive alignment with CRO objectives and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Requirements building and backlog management with a development team is essential.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related degree required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Previous experience of working in online retail in a CRO or Product Owner role is essential.
  • Hands-on experience of Magento 2 and Linnworks is preferred.
