Our client, a leading company in the Defence and Aerospace sector, is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager with experience in Defence for a 6-month contract role.
As the Senior Commercial Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our client's projects and have responsibility for the contractual, commercial and bid finance aspects of assigned bids.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the contractual proposals, as required for the bid
- Oversee the negotiation and agreement of all our Business UK Collaboration Agreements
- Review and approval of Commercial inputs to data packs to prospective subcontractors to ensure the correct flow down of contractual terms, conditions and risk
- Participate in all regular Bid Team meetings including with the wider bid team, as well as on assigned bids
- Prepare commercial input to bid risk assessments, commercial/contractual strategy and pricing strategy
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in Commercial Management or Contract Management in Defence or a similar industry
- Has held the position of (Senior) Commercial Manager or Contract Manager
- Bids experience
- Experience of leading on the preparation and negotiation of high value Financial and Contractual proposals for institutional customers, ideally within the Space, Aerospace or Defence sectors.
- Confident in working with complex financial models and spreadsheets
