Prime Broker / Equity Finance Middle Office - 12 Months

Our client, a Global Management Consultancy are looking for several Business Analysts from Financial Services, for one of their Financial Services clients. This is a hybrid role, 2 days working in the office.

Duration: Up to 12 months

Location: London, Hybrid (2 days per week in office)

Budget: £325 PAY including holiday pay (33 days)

Ideal candidate: Ideally have worked in Investment Banking environment but must have FS experience as a minimum. They need experience in Equity Financing, Stock Loan etc.

Business Analyst ( Equity Finance Business/Cash and Payments)

Working within a control focused environment, with processes that are performed at the highest level, minimizing any operational risk and closing key breaks in a timely manner

  • Manage FOBO reconciliations, control risk in the process. Identify gaps if any, and work towards strategic fix for the issues
  • Uphold the controls and procedures for the team, review and update as necessary.
  • Build strong relationships with various Ops teams, CSRs, so the ability to communicate issues/breaks with reasoned and detailed argument. This could be verbally or in writing
  • Be able to make timely decisions relating to risk mitigation vs. client service when dealing with escalations from junior team members
  • Proactively identify ways to improve the control environment while ensuring compliance with various regulations around securities custody and reporting

Person Specification:

  • Experience in stock borrowing/lending reconciliation/ making payments (preferred)
  • Ability to work in a highly pressurized environment with Time Management.
  • Prior banking/finance experience (preferred)

You must have the following skills:

  • Reconciliation experience
  • Basic understanding for Securities lending and borrowing business
  • Escalation Handling.
  • Knowledge of Payments within SWIFT and different internal system.
  • Client communication and service.
