Due to internal movement, Reed is proud to be partnered with one of NI's most successful manufacturing businesses, in the appointment of a Regional Financial Controller on a permanent (hybrid) basis.
Reporting to the Financial Director, you will support the Heads of Finance GB&IRL & Europe, and other members of the Leadership team to ensure finance organisational milestones and deliverables are completed on time, within budget and as planned whilst also managing the coordination and planning of mergers and acquisitions and other strategic initiatives. You will be eager to share ideas and be passionate about continuous improvement and will collaborate with various function leads within the Business, Division, and wider group.
- Support the Regional Financial Director by acting as a point of contact for financial control issues and deliverables in the region
- Close month end accounts on a timely basis ensuring attention to detail and accurate numbers
- Prepare / review balance sheet reconciliations ensuring tight balance sheet control
- Facilitate timely resolution of escalated issues, risks, and decisions for the region
- Analyse financial data to identify and report undesirable trends; potential business opportunities and make recommendations for management to improve business performance and profitability
- Oversee internal controls, safeguarding of assets, and provide direction to finance team members to ensure goals are met on a continuous and consistent basis
- Coordination of both Internal and External financial and tax audits
- Ensuring compliance with country Statutory, Division and Corporate requirements
- Manage the finance team
- Challenge and support efficiency and performance, in line with the overall strategy and objectives
- Drive synergies and constantly prioritise efforts based on risk and value creation within the region
- Perform financial review and analysis and assists in managing and coordinating multiple general ledgers and facilitate month end close process
- Review of sanctions and ensure compliance with group policies
- Preparation of Pack for monthly, Budget and Strategy Reporting
All applicants MUST be a fully qualified Accountant with at least 3 years' PQE and at least 2 years' experience in a similar role. Ideally you will be ‘Big Four' trained with subsequent industry exposure.
