Description
- Develop, implement, and manage quality control processes for the new garment range.
- Oversee fit sessions and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal garment construction.
- Work closely with the design team to ensure design integrity is maintained throughout the production process.
- Conduct garment testing to ensure they meet the company's high-quality standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Keep abreast of the latest industry trends and technology to maintain the company's competitive edge.
- Provide technical guidance to junior members of the team.
- Communicate effectively with various departments to ensure smooth workflow.
Profile
A successful Senior Garment Technologist should have:
- A degree in Fashion Technology or highly experienced in a previous technical garment role.
- Prior experience in a similar role in womenswear fashion.
- Exceptional knowledge of garment construction and fitting.
- Ability to use Illustrator software in conjunction with other design tools.
- Strong understanding of fabric performance and testing.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with various teams and suppliers.
- A keen eye for detail and quality and high standards of garment construction.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using industry-standard software.
