About the Role:
As a Food Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative lessons to students, encouraging their creativity and interest in food and nutrition. Your role will involve planning and delivering lessons in line with the curriculum, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Food Technology lessons that meet the national curriculum requirements.
- Inspire and engage students through innovative teaching methods and practical demonstrations.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support.
- Create a safe and stimulating learning environment in the Food Technology classroom.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices and resources.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in Food Technology and education.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Food Technology, Home Economics, or a related subject.
- Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary school level.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A genuine passion for Food Technology and education.
