Job Title: Management Accountant (Maternity Cover)

Location: West Kent

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

Contract Type: Full-time, Maternity Cover (approximately 12 months)

Grafton Banks Finance in Kent are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Management Accountant to join our client's finance team on a maternity cover contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial insight and reports to department heads, as well as presenting budgets and forecasts to the senior leadersh­­ip team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present financial reports to department heads, including monthly management accounts, budget variance analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the charity's financial performance and provide expert advice to stakeholders
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the charity's financial planning and budgeting process
  • Prepare and present budgets and forecasts to the senior leadership team
  • Analyse financial data and identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Provide support to department heads in understanding their financial performance and making informed decisions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and reports
  • Collaborate with other members of the finance team to ensure the smooth operation of financial processes

Requirements:

  • Part Qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Proven track record of providing financial insight and reporting to non-financial stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Experience with financial planning and budgeting processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
