Project Manager/ Scrum Master- Insurance

We are currently hiring for a Scrum Master with Portfolio Solution experience to join one of our Insurance clients on a 6-month contract.

Inside IR35

Hybrid- 2 days a week onsite

Responsibilities:

  • lead, Business and Product Owner to understand the vision and help create an appropriate roadmap to deliver the outcomes of the programme of work. Break the initiatives and Epics into small changes within the regular cycles of delivery that lead to demonstrable improvement for the customers and improve the predictability of delivery.
  • Contribute to Portfolio level 30/60/90-day planning sessions.
  • Works across impacted teams to ensure the relevant stakeholders are aligned with the vision, delivery and progress of delivery.
  • Facilitation of the agile ceremonies.
  • Risk and dependency management; the confidence to actively escalate and manage identified challenges.
  • Supports the removal of blockers/impediments in the delivery of outcomes, including collaboration with teams outside of the core delivery team. These include international teams and those at group and corporate level.
  • Ensures the change management components are part of the delivery in addition to the product and business change delivery.
  • Supports the mobilization of new initiatives, including the governance facilitation and creation of business cases, ensuring there is clearly understood and articulated return on investment
  • Ensure the benefits, critical success factors and measures are identified and managed contributing towards successful delivery of products and initiatives
  • Facilitate program processes and practices, managing risks and impediments raised by the delivery teams
  • Support the governance processes and forums for the pathway to ensure the effective management and oversight of the Portfolio Solutions demand pathway, promoting alignment with strategic objectives and progress of delivery
  • Work with the demand pathway business architect to ensure architectural coherence and support them in the resolution of issues that that may arise.

Experience:

  • Experience of working with delivery teams aligned to agile ways of working and creation of business value through business and technical change initiatives; ability to galvanise and drive the team through each sprint to achieve agreed outcomes and value.
  • Ability to capture complex requirements in a prioritized backlog.
  • Ability to understand strategic needs whilst focusing on the customer.
  • Demonstrable experience of internal and external stakeholder engagement (including vendors)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience of using Jira and Confluence to support Agile ways of working.
  • Insurance/ London Market sector experience
  • Target Operating Model experience
