An Embedded Systems Engineer with good embedded C and Simulink skills is sought by a national engineering company in the Tyneside area: -
Working in a focused R&D environment you will be responsible for developing embedded software and firmware for energy storage systems
Key tasks will include
- Writing and verifying high reliability software
- Leading and supporting code reviews
- Develop and document coding practices
- Helping develop software specifications
- Working with teams in the UK and US
- Producing clear documentation
- Algorithm development
- Ensure compliance to software development standards and processes
The successful candidate will be a software engineer experienced at developing embedded control systems using embedded C. You will also need good simulation and modelling skills, experience with embedded communication protocols such as CAN bus, SPI and I2C and be familiar with C# for GUI development. Familiarity with peer review and version control systems such as BitBucket and any knowledge of Battery Systems, Power Conversion Equipment, Power Electronics, Electric Vehicles, or Solar Energy storage systems would be advantageous
