Based in the North of Edinburgh | Fully on-site role with parking available
Full Time hours | Monday to Friday | 9:00am to 5:00pm
Contract role for 4 months | strong potential to become permanent
Pay rate up to £13.00 per hour (depending on experience level)

Search Consultancy are currently working exclusively with one of our clients to recruit this contract role for their office based in the North of the City. This role will be on a contract basis for 4 months initially to cover a planned absence within the business, with strong potential for this role to become permanent following the initial contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with planning, administration of both online & in-person events - as well as full social media management & marketing for the business.

_Duties involved in this role will include: _

  • Creation of graphics to promote events on Social Media, making announcements, engaging with association members, responding to tweets, retweeting and tagging
  • Assisting with planning, administration and execution of all conferences, events and workshops on behalf of the business - both online & in-person
  • Liaising with both internal & external stakeholders regarding events
  • Designing & issuing event marketing collateral and promotional materials, including liaising with graphic designers and print suppliers.
  • Creating event listings and maintaining the events pages of the company website
  • Working on event budgets to keep them up to date
  • Providing cover for other staff for holidays or sick leave as & when required
  • Reporting to the Events and Conference Co-ordinator to update on all event activity
  • Various other ad hoc events & administration duties as required/directed

_In order to be considered for this role your skills and experience should include: _

  • Previous experience within an events management, assistant or administrative role with exposure to marketing & social media - this experience is ESSENTIAL
  • Excellent IT skills - to include MS Office, Canva for marketing materials and Hootsuite for Social Media
  • Confidence in the management of Social Media pages including X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram & LinkedIn
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organisation, attention to detail & time management skills, with the ability to prioritise & complete your workload effectively
