Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in the preparation, filing, and prosecution of domestic and international patent applications
- Conduct thorough legal research on patent-related matters and provide detailed analysis and reports
- Maintain and manage patent docketing systems, ensuring all deadlines are tracked and met
- Prepare and review legal documents, including patent applications, amendments, and responses to Office Actions
- Coordinate with clients, foreign associates, and patent offices to ensure timely and accurate communication
- Support attorneys in patent litigation, including organising and managing case files, exhibits, and discovery materials
- Assist with the preparation of patent opinions and other related documents
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Patent Paralegal or a similar position
- In-depth understanding of patent laws, procedures, and regulations
- Proficiency in patent docketing software and legal research tools
- Exceptional organisational skills and keen attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- CIPA qualified
