We are recruiting for a Senior Associate to join our Banking team in London, due to significant growth of our banking & finance practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to gain a varied and broad caseload, and work with notable clients.
You will receive bespoke training throughout your career, and we will ensure that you have the technical and commercial skills to build an effective and successful practice and become a sector specialist.
Your Team
- Operating from offices across the UK, our expanding and ambitious partner-led team provide tactical, commercially minded services across all aspects of financing.
- We act for a broad range of debt funders and have positions on the general lending panels of nearly all the high street lenders. In addition, we act for a wide spectrum of corporate borrowers in all of our key sectors in the investment and non investment grade spaces.
Your Role
- Manage your own broad caseload of banking matters, and support more senior team members with larger transactions using appropriate project and time management techniques to ensure the effective management of resource and achievement of results for our clients
- Demonstrate an understanding of the client's business and an ability to secure new work within existing client relationships to develop the account
- Monitor and manage expenditure and other costs/benefits against targets
- Delegate tasks to other team members appropriate to their job role level and skill to ensure the optimum use of available resource and utilisation
- Supervising the work delegated to other team members as a means of developing others adopting a supportive and coaching approach
- Provide an excellent service to our clients by working closely with colleagues from across the UK in both the Banking team and other specialisms
Your Skills and Experience
- A Qualified Solicitor (SRA or Law Society Registered) with 3+ years PQE in a similar legal setting
- A forward thinker, with excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills, you will be self-motivated with the ability to manage workloads and deadlines
- Commercially aware with some exposure to business development, with the ability to maintain and nurture strong client relationships
- Able to develop a deep understanding of your client's business needs, and act in the best interest of the firm and the client
- Able to contribute to our collaborative culture, with an ambition to assist in the development of junior team members
