Wexham School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Spanish to join our friendly and vibrant school community. With a significant rise in student numbers, we are looking for a well-qualified and enthusiastic individual to join our Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Department. We welcome applications from new entrants to the profession, offering a reduced timetable and an excellent support programme for Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

Day to Day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality Spanish lessons to students across different key stages.
  • Plan, prepare and assess lessons and schemes of work in line with curriculum objectives.
  • Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and a love for the Spanish language.
  • Monitor and support the overall progress and development of students.
  • Contribute to the development of teaching materials and programmes of study.
  • Provide feedback to students, parents, and colleagues on progress and development.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and whole school training events.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A relevant teaching degree or qualification.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Strong subject knowledge of Spanish.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to plan and deliver creative and inspiring lessons.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
  • A positive and collaborative approach to teaching and learning.
  • Willingness to undergo child protection screening and an enhanced DBS check.
