Location: Poole
Job Type: Full-time (Part-time applications considered)
Working Hours: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday (flexibility for the right candidate)
Reports To: Portfolio Manager

**About the Role:

Our client, a modern and growing accountancy firm, is seeking a motivated Semi-Senior Accountant to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to their expanding business and deliver high-quality service to clients. You'll work closely with the portfolio manager, with a clear path to advance your career through ongoing training and development.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Portfolio Management:

  • Assist in managing a portfolio of clients, reporting directly to the portfolio manager.

  • Receive training and development to work towards managing your own client portfolio.

  • Accounts and Tax:

  • Prepare and review statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.

  • Prepare and review personal tax returns.

  • Review VAT returns and client records for accuracy and compliance.

  • Client Communication:

  • Handle inbound queries from clients, providing excellent service and timely solutions.

**About You:

The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to deliver outstanding service and grow within the firm. Our client is looking for the following qualifications and skills:

  • At least two years of experience in an accounting firm or similar role.
  • AAT qualified or currently studying towards ACCA/ACA.
  • Familiarity with FreeAgent and/or Xero software (advantageous but not essential).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in your work.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of the impact of your role on the business.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to take on new challenges.
