Job Title: Supported Housing Worker Contract: 6 month Fixed Term Contract Salary: £24,500 per annum
P4 are recruiting for a Supported Housing Worker for a charity client in Shepton Mallet. In this role you will support help deliver high quality off the street accommodation for rough sleepers.
Additional Information:
- Travel required across Mendip to cover accommodation in two locations
- Participation in an on-call rota (1 in every 4 weeks), with an additional £100 per week when on-call
- Participation in a rostered system of working with shifts between 08:00 AM and 20:00 PM, including weekend work (every other weekend)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver a high-quality off-the-street accommodation service for individuals rough sleeping within Mendip
- Complete holistic assessments for clients, leading to the development of support plans that meet individual client goals
- Build positive and effective working relationships and agreements with relevant external agencies
- Provide clients with advice, information, and enabling services so they can be signposted to and access appropriate services to develop independence
- Provide an effective Housing Management service for clients and identified properties
- Carry out, within reason, any other duties necessary to achieve the smooth running of the service and undertake other organizational duties, broadly in line with the above key responsibilities
Requirements:
- A valid UK driving license and access to your own vehicle - business insurance will be required for roles involving travel for work
- Understanding of the causes of homelessness and social exclusion and approaches that seek to address these
