Financial Accountant

We are seeking a bright and dedicated Financial Accountant to assist in the financial and operational aspects of a growing family office based in London. This role offers the opportunity to work across all functional areas of the organisation and requires a candidate who can work autonomously and has a strong focus on risk management.
Day to Day of the role:
- Perform banking duties including supplier payments, managing cash flows, and general banking administration.
- Handle bookkeeping tasks, including VAT for a handful of companies and oversight where outsourced.
- Run monthly payroll for up to 10 employees and manage employee expenses.
- Administer the invoice & employee expense management system.
- Manage the Finance mailbox and invoice clients.
- Conduct month-end close processes, including the production of management accounts and balance sheet substantiations.
- Liaise with external auditors and gather supporting material for year-end audits for one entity.
- Monitor private equity capital calls, distributions, and other related administrative tasks.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly summary reports of assets, income & KPIs.
- Maintain the data consolidator/investment performance system.
- Coordinate activities of various professional advisors including tax & legal.
- Undertake ad hoc analysis/tasks as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- University degree in Accounting/Business or related field.
- Relevant qualification (AAT, qualified/part-qualified ACCA, or equivalent).
- Solid accounting/bookkeeping experience and general reporting and systems experience.
- Strong attention to detail and risk management knowledge.
- Initiative and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong organisational skills.
