Domus Engineering is a family business and leading import and export company specialising in high-quality bathroom products. Based in London, but with manufacturing in the UK, Germany, Italy, UAE and the Far East, we cater to wholesalers and distributors in the Middle East.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager/Shipping Administrator to oversee and optimise our import and export operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, international logistics, and a proven track record of effectively managing shipments, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of products.

Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Management:Develop and implement strategies to optimise supply chain efficiency, including inventory management, transportation, and distribution.

Import and Export Operations:Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective import/export of bathroom products.

Monitor shipments, manage customs clearance, and resolve any logistical issues that may arise.

Preparing international export shipping documents including commercial invoices and Chamber of Commerce Certificates ensuring accuracy, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures; distribute to appropriate internal customers.

Logistics Coordination:Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and plan logistics operations accordingly.

Oversee the transportation and distribution of products to various wholesalers and distributors in international markets, ensuring on-time deliveries.

Compliance and Documentation:Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and maintain accurate documentation for all shipments.

Stay updated on trade laws, tariffs, and international shipping regulations to mitigate risks and optimise operations.

Vendor Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, carriers, and third-party logistics partners to negotiate favourable terms and ensure quality service.

Performance Analysis:Analyse logistics data, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Prepare reports and presentations outlining key logistics metrics and performance indicators.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in logistics and supply chain management, preferably within the import/export industry or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems (SAP B1)
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and work in a fast-paced environment.
