Axi Recruitment is delighted to be working with an established business in the Hessle area for an Assistant Accountant to join the company, supporting the Finance function at head office. The role of the Assistant Accountant will help across all functions within the Finance Department.
The Role:
- Liaise with team members concerning all freight invoice disputes
- Freight payable account reconciliations
- Finance point of contact
- Posting purchase ledger invoices
- Purchase ledger matching
- Setting up international payments (not authorising)
- Purchase ledger reconciliations, debtor reconciliations and nominal reconciliations
- Atradius declarations
- ETA's for cashflow
- Help produce standard reports
- Stock reconciliations
- Month end assistance
The Person:
- At least 3 years' previous experience in a similar finance role
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience of SAP and Microsoft Office
- Work well under pressure
