Personalised Support:
- Offer 1:1 assistance to pupils with special educational needs, adapting teaching techniques to foster their confidence and independence.
- Collaborate with medical professionals to implement individualised care plans for children with specific medical conditions and carry out personal care duties.
Collaboration and Planning:
- Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver activities.
- Support pupils during transitions and daily routines, ensuring their medical needs are met.
Emotional Well-being and Social Skills:
- Help pupils regulate their behaviour and emotions.
- Encourage positive interactions, both academically and socially.
Assessment and Communication:
- Contribute to formal SEND assessments, considering medical aspects.
- Share valuable insights with families and home schools, fostering a holistic approach to each child's well-being.
Teamwork and Support:
- Collaborate with other teaching assistants, teachers, and support staff.
- Experience the fulfilment of making a difference in children's lives.
