Reed Accountancy are currently partnered with an established client in the Crawley area in the recruitment of a Finance Accountant to join their finance team. As Finance Accountant you will be responsible for both external and internal reporting in line with company deadlines. This role is integral to the control and management of all related processes and supports the department in delivering the company's objectives. As Finance Accountant you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Financial Analyst, Finance Director, and the wider team on a daily basis.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist in the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, ensuring adherence to company and group reporting deadlines.
  • Contribute to the year-end statutory audit by preparing audit working papers, liaising with the Audit Team, and managing audit requests.
  • Participate in the production of tax reporting packs for year-end deferred and corporation tax.
  • Support the monthly management accounting process, including updating comments, reviewing monthly reporting expense analysis, and resolving issues within the team.
  • Ensure the completion, content, and accuracy of key balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Review and post payroll data monthly, including reporting on payroll exceptions.
  • Manage the end-of-month electricity rebate process, including review and adjustment of calculations.
  • Handle fixed asset postings, including additions, disposals, depreciation runs, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Provide assistance to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Teams with supplier reconciliations, customer breakdowns, statements, and query resolution.
  • Assist in monthly stock reconciliations and reporting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Part Qualified AAT / ACA / ACCA / CIMA.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Capable of multitasking and working both in a team and independently with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Proficient IT skills, including the ability to generate reports and use various software applications.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
