About the Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Business Development, the Business Development Manager will have a passion for driving sales, pursuing opportunities, and closing deals. To be successful in this role, you will already have a strong existing network in the building, commercial property and construction sector.

You will need to drive the delivery of the Business Development strategy. We want you to not only improve the current portfolios but press the accelerator and create new opportunities and explore new markets.

This is an exciting, on the ground role. If you are looking for a back-office role, this one isn't for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Position the business to deliver top-line growth via an overarching Business Development strategy, positioning the brand for success.
  • Promotion of the product range, particularly the new office locker range.
  • Target, develop and win high-value opportunities that encompass the delivery of the product & services across both existing customers and into strategic market sectors.
  • Development & implementation of well researched segment plans that include their win themes, market size, key players, segment issues & trends, competitors, prospects of success, who & how to target, and how to deliver.
  • Forming long-term partnerships with customers, architects & builders via strategic alliances, partnership agreements, etc.
  • Driving an integrated view of the company - improve cross-selling capability, opportunities & account management.
  • In collaboration with key operational leads, develop and implement a strategic sales plan to deliver nett margin profitable revenue growth.
  • Planning for Success - Demonstrable ability to present your weekly sales plan

Key Attributes:

  • A passionate cyclist would be preferred.
  • Strong business development skills and experience in selling products & services.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills with the ability to construct and deliver compelling presentations to senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced negotiating skills with the ability to step through conflicting objectives to arrive at mutually acceptable outcomes.
  • Understanding of developments in digital technology and how they might be applied to enhance product offerings.
  • Strong networking skills with a proven ability to build lasting relationships at different levels both internally and external to the organisation.
  • Proven ability to work across multiple teams, resolving conflict and building mutual trust.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
