Accounts Assistant

Overview

A well-known property business, located in the Birmingham City Centre, are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a 6 month contract. This position will be helping out with a project that the business is working on where they are working their way through a messy ledger of incorrectly allocated invoices, doubled entered invoices and missing invoices. This position is looking for someone who thrives on organisation and is eager to get in and get this ledger under control.

The ideal candidate for this position will be someone who has strong attention to detail, a meticulous mind-set and an eagerness to get to the bottom of any puzzle. This role will involve a lot of work on excel so experience with this is essential and any additional reconciliation experience will be beneficial. We are ideally looking to get the right candidate in for this role as soon as possible so please only apply if you are immediately available or on a short notice period.

Skills Required

  • Have worked in a similar role where you were responsible for organising a ledger where there was a backlog of invoice issues (missing, not entered, entered twice, etc.)
  • Be an analytical type of person, who is very organised and detail oriented, giving you a leg up when it comes to sorting out this back log issue.
  • Experience on working on property style invoices and understanding how these invoices work will be beneficial.
  • Be a confident, hardworking person as this role will require the successful candidate to get on the phone and resolve any invoice queries..
