Job Title: Credit Controller

Location: High Wycombe (Office Based)

Reports To: Financial Controller

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

Manage the credit control process ensuring timely payments, handling overdue accounts, and maintaining accurate records. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess creditworthiness and set credit limits.
  • Chase outstanding invoices via phone, email, and letters.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare reports on debts, collections, and credit status.
  • Maintain positive client relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Keep accurate records of credit control activities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Experience: 3+ years in credit control, preferably in an SME.

  • Skills:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Professional and customer-focused.

  • Must have a STABLE and proven credit control track record
