Remedy Tutors are looking for experienced, flexible SEN Outreach tutors to join our team of dynamic educators.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality one-to-one tutoring sessions to students for up to 15 hours a week per student
- Be able to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs of SEN students with diverse learning styles
- Create and implement personalised lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and promote student engagement and understanding
- Assess and monitor student's progress, identifying areas for improvement and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student's educational development
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of tutoring sessions and student progress
Requirements:
- A preferred background of working with children with Special Educational Needs, and differentiated learning
- Proficient in teaching core subjects and the SEN curriculum to students of various age groups and ability levels
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and establish a positive learning environment
- be able to adapt teaching strategies to suit individual learning styles and needs
- QTS or PGCE is preferred although other educational qualifications are accepted
