I am excited to announce an opening for a Buyer to join a growing Procurement team based in Deeside. If you have a background in manufacturing, experience in purchasing raw materials and a strong understanding of the Procurement process; I'd want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain supply of key materials, maximizing volume purchasing benefits.
- Develop supplier strategies to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Meet target costs without compromising on quality.
- Undertake strategic sourcing activities using established business tools and templates.
- Support the development and communication of sourcing strategies shaping purchasing decisions.
- Purchase goods, materials, components, or services aligning with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
- Monitor market trends and supply chain strategies ensuring competitiveness.
- Provide analysis on costs and engage in cost reduction activities.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to explore opportunities for continuous business improvements.

- Self confidence with strong interpersonal skills, an excellent communicator with the ability to liase with people at all levels.
- Flexibility and ability to multitask.
- Self motivated with a "hands on" results driven approach.
- Strong systems skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Experience in a buying / negotiation role.
- CIPS qualification or similar.
- ERP experience ideally SAP
