Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced SENCo to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in leading and managing the provision for students with SEMH needs, ensuring they receive the highest quality of education and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective strategies to support students with SEMH needs.
- Coordinate and oversee the provision of SEN support across the school.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of students with SEMH needs, making adjustments as necessary.
- Provide training and support to staff on SEMH-related issues and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and school policies.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a recognized SENCo qualification.
- Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs.
- Strong knowledge of SEN legislation and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
