Our client, a prominent player in the insurance industry, is recruiting a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join their expanding team.
The purpose of the role is to supervise the finance department's day-to-day operations, prepare accounts, and manage financial information. You will support and oversee the Finance Team, act as the lead finance contact for overseas subsidiaries, and ensure regulatory compliance and high-standard reporting.
Duties include overseeing the month-end close timetable, preparing group management accounts, handling all financial reconciliations (including intercompany and foreign exchange), managing the year-end close process, and preparing audit files and statutory accounts. You will also assist with completing various statutory returns such as UK VAT and FCA RMAR, ensuring compliance with company behaviours, values, and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will hold or be actively working towards a chartered or certified professional qualification. Experience in a commercially focused finance function, strong organisational and prioritisation skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are essential. Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and experience with financial software/applications are also desirable.
