Permanent, full time, hybrid role in Newcastle NE4 - Software Engineer within a manufacturing company.
- £60,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday
- 26 days holiday per annum plus Bank Holidays - increasing to 29 days with long service

About the job
- Working closely with others as part of a team developing battery management systems
- Writing and verifying high reliability software
- Develop and document coding practices
- Leading and supporting code reviews
- Helping develop software specifications and producing clear documentation
The right candidate
- Minimum 4 years experience of BMS algorithm development using embedded C and/or SIMULINK
- Happy to travel to other sites within the UK for onsite testing
- Experience with battery systems - simulation and modelling
- Experienced at embedded software and firmware development and embedded communication protocols such as CAN bus, SPI and I2C
- Familiar with peer review and version control systems such as BitBucket
