LTF Recruitment are currently collaborating with a wonderful Primary school based in Kingston Upon Thames, London. The school is looking for an outgoing individual to undertake the difficult, but rewarding role of a Behaviour Mentor and assist younger students that showcase difficult behaviour or require additional assistance on a day-to-day basis. The role of Behaviour Support Mentor is to support the learning process.
As a Behaviour Mentor your duties and responsibilities will be:
- To collaborate with teachers ensuring effective behaviour.
- Working 1:1 with identified children to deliver bespoke additional support to pupils.
- To set learning targets to improve behaviour and track progress of students including those with Special Educational Needs.
- To challenge and motivate students to promote self-esteem and improve overall behaviour.
- Provide valuable feedback and advice to pupils, serving as a role model and report back to parents/carers.
About you:
- Excellent communication and resilience skills
- Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with the students and fellow colleagues.
- Resilient, emphatic and able to remain positive in difficult situations.
- You have previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor or a SEN Teaching Assistant.
- Relevant qualifications in Education Studies or related field are desirable.
