Sellick Partnership are currently supporting the recruitment of a Bid Writer to work within a Fire and Electrical Team. The successful candidate will play a key role in securing new business through developing high-quality, winning bids, proposals, and tender responses.

Key responsibilities of the Bid Writer:

  • Writing, editing, and proofreading bid responses, ensuring they meet quality and compliance standards i.e. PQQ, RFI, RFP, ITT.
  • Maintain an accurate, documented Sales Database
  • Ensure timescales are achieved at each step of the bid process, including all internal governance, while taking the initiative in setting realistic deadlines.
  • Liaising with subject matter experts to develop case studies.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of industry trends, competitive offerings, and regulatory developments.
  • Identifying potential bids and tenders through market research and industry insights.
  • Collaborating with sales, technical, and operational teams to gather necessary information for bid submissions.
  • Drive continuous improvement through post-bid reviews
  • Manage and facilitate storyboard sessions to develop our solutions and approach to qualitative questions, leading to best in class responses
  • Ensure on-time submission of compliant and commercially sound bids.

Key experience and skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in a Bid Writer role, preferably within similar sectors.
  • Demonstrable success and ability in bid writing and winning high-value tenders within the public sector and social housing.
  • Proven track record of producing successful bids, tenders, and proposals.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills, with an eye for detail.
