Credit Controller

We are currently looking to recruit a

Credit Controller

to be responsible for managing the debts of creditors, ensuring timely payments are made, processing incoming funds, reconciling invoices, resolving account queries, and managing debt recovery.

Secondary to the main day-to-day duties of Credit Controller you may also be required to process sales orders, answer customer enquiries, and signpost queries onto the correct department.

What does the role involve?

As

Credit Controller

, you will be responsible for effectively maintaining a section of the sales ledger, setting new cash customer accounts, and reviewing customer credit limits with credit agencies. You will also regularly review accounts trading over the agreed credit limit and review processes to reduce order release volumes wherever possible to maximise efficiencies, ensure branches are aware of accounts trading over credit limit and any such accounts are actioned accordingly, and manage a daily debtors list – chasing monies that are due or overdue.

As credit controller you will also SIG Credit Policy, order release framework and data protection act, and be aware of the implications of risk and ensure the correct procedures are followed to keep the risk of potential bad debt to a minimum, in liaison with the credit services team

The successful candidate will require:

  • CICM qualified (desirable)
  • GCSE Grade 6 Maths and English or equivalent or Level 3 Admin/business or finance qualification.
  • Sales Ledger and Microsoft Office packages experience (essential).
  • 5 years' experience needed in a similar role or industry.
  • Organisational knowledge and great attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload. Excellent customer service skills.

Full training will be given on K8 system and product knowledge
