Supply Chain Planning Manager

Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be partnered with a market leading globally distributed Safety Equipment Manufacturer and Supplier based in Leeds, who are looking for a resilient, motivated and knowledgeable Supply Chain Planning Manager to join their team.

  • Develop and implement ESG-focused supply chain strategies, procedures, and plans to optimize inventory management and align product availability with ESG objectives.
  • Take full responsibility for overseeing supply chain activities across the EMEA regions, including the UK, France, and Germany.
  • Analyse market trends and demand forecasts to anticipate and address supply chain needs and potential challenges.
  • Create and manage accurate demand forecasts and inventory plans to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the EMEA purchasing and supply chain team to enhance business performance, foster career growth, build a high-performing team, and provide timely performance feedback.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to align demand forecasts with business objectives and market trends.
  • Monitor inventory levels across EMEA to maintain optimal stock levels that meet customer demands while minimizing excess inventory.
  • Implement ESG-compliant inventory policies and procedures to manage stock efficiently and reduce carrying costs.
  • Work collaboratively with all ESG divisions to achieve best-in-class performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce material costs and improve cost-efficiency.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Identify and address areas for improvement within the supply chain process to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Utilize data and analytics to inform decision-making and optimize supply chain processes.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including production, logistics, and procurement, to ensure alignment and resolve supply chain issues.
  • Communicate supply chain plans, updates, and progress to relevant stakeholders.
  • Assess potential risks within the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
  • Monitor and respond proactively to changes in supply chain dynamics and market conditions.
  • Prepare and present supply chain performance reports to management.
  • Analyse key metrics and performance indicators to track progress and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage a team of high performance globally distributed buyers

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Batchelor's degree in a related field, such as Business / Logistics / Engineering (ideally with a postgraduate CIPS professional qualification)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of proven experience in supply chain planning, logistics, or related roles, with a strong track record of managing complex supply chain processes.
  • Hands on manager who likes to contribute directly as well as manage a team.
  • Analytical in nature and data driven
  • Experience with supply chain management software and tools is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
