Gleeson Recruitment Group are working exclusively with a high-growth, ambitious, private equity backed business, who are looking to appoint a Group Financial Accountant into their every evolving Finance function.
As a Group Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial health of this business. You will be responsible for managing the financial reporting, consolidation, and analysis for the group of companies. Working closely with senior management and department heads, you will ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements while providing strategic insights to support decision-making.
Key responsibilities of the Group Financial Accountant role:
- Prepare and consolidate financial statements across multiple entities within the group.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data through detailed analysis and reconciliation.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and accruals.
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, and forecasts to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance internal controls.
- Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and filings.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic planning.
Requirements:
- Recognised accountancy qualification - ACA or ACCA
- Proven experience as a Group Accountant or similar role within a complex organisational structure.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and regulations (GAAP/IFRS).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
