Macildowie Finance are currently working with a leading global entertainment company, who are recruiting a Junior Cost Analyst into a newly-created role within the team. Reporting to the Senior Cost Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in analysing, monitoring, and reporting on costs associated with the company's operations, projects, and products. No day will be the same and you be involved in a variety of different areas of the business.
What is the job?
- Analyse cost data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction or optimisation.
- Assist with cost-benefit analysis to evaluate the financial impact of business decisions and initiatives.
- Help prepare regular reports on cost performance, including variance analysis and forecasting.
- Present findings and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cost-saving initiatives, best practices, and process improvements to enhance cost efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist with the development and automation of reports to streamline data analysis and reporting processes.
- Find, analyse, and input data from invoices/purchase orders.
- Ad hoc support to the Senior Cost Analyst as and when required.
What are you like?
- Either studying or interested in studying ACCA/CIMA/ACA
- 2-3 years' experience in accounts payable, cost analysis, financial planning, or related Finance roles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify issues with data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Experience using Dynamics 365 and Adaptive is a plus.
Package:
- Salary of £30,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience)
