Job Title: Student Learning Advisor
Location: Isleworth
Temporary position - Start date 2nd September
Salary - £29,289
To support the academic success of individual students by providing personal support through regular guidance, tracking and target setting. Referrals to other support services as appropriate, contribute to student progression and career plans. A key focus to this role is to provide individual support via one-to-one interviews.
- Deliver a tutorial curriculum that allows students the opportunity to reflect on their learning and progression whilst developing the skills that actively promote resilience, confidence and independence.
- Hold regular one-to-one sessions with students, promoting the expectations of attendance, punctuality and behaviour. Target setting that supports their success.
- Provide pastoral support for designated groups of students.
- Work closely with identifies at-risk students.
- Maintain effective and detailed individual reports for each student.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience or aptitude for working successfully with young people, either in an educational, youth or community setting.
- Can build effective relationships.
- Can deliver well-structured tutorial sessions.
- Understands safeguarding.
- Maintain confidentiality and show sensitivity.
