Global, highly successful international professional services firm, have a vacancy for a Finance Administrator/ Accounts Receivable Assistant to join the team on a 3-month Fixed term contract. The role will be based in the Central Bristol office.

  • Working Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week) Monday - Friday. Office based position
  • Competitive Remuneration: A salary of up to £27,000 per annum (depending on experience) and pro rata for the duration of the contract

The Role:

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic individual to join a successful international legal firm, becoming an integral part of the dynamic Finance team. This is 3 month fixed-term contract role, combining essential credit control support with a significant focus on sales transactional work.

As an Accounts Receivable Assistant, you will report to the Credit Controller. Your main duties will include:

  • Recording daily bank transactions in multiple currencies
  • Allocating daily bank receipts based on client remittances
  • Handling bank-related activities and administration
  • Completing forms from clients requesting company information
  • Monitoring shared email inboxes for remittances and client requests
  • Effectively communicating financial information with colleagues and external clients
  • Performing credit checks for new clients
  • Providing support and assistance to the Credit Controller and the Finance team
  • Participating in ad hoc projects

The Successful Candidate:

  • Experience working in the Finance function is preferred, ideally within a professional services environment
  • A keen interest in working in finance coupled with strong administration skills and experience can also be considered!
  • GCSE Grade C or above in Mathematics and English, and a minimum of 2 A-levels or equivalent qualifications (an AAT qualification, degree, or equivalent would be advantageous)
  • Proficiency in using MS Office
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • A positive attitude and flexibility to adapt to changing daily requirements
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Proactive and enthusiastic approach to work
